KAKUMIRO MAN KILLS 8 MONTHS PREGNANT WIFE, LOCKS HER IN HOUSE

Police in Kakumiro district are hunting for a Rwandese man identified as Robert Niringiyo 40, who allegedly murdered his expectant wife and locked the body in the house.
The body of Fortunate Atuhairwe 28, a mother of two, was found in the house by residents, four days after she was allegedly killed by
her husband.
The couple has been resident in Kihanga village, Kakindo sub county in Kakumiro district.
Niringiyo however fled into hiding and has since been sighted in Mubende district.
The area LC I chairperson, George Rubohere says residents became concerned after a foul smell started coming out of the closed house.
A Police postmortem report indicates that the deceased was pregnant for about eight and a half months.
The OC Kakindo police post, Nelson Lubwama says the foetus was removed from the mother’s womb and the bodies have been handed to relatives for burial arrangements, pending a manhunt for the suspected killer.
