Princess Juliet Kabachunga Amooti, the last child to fallen Omukama Sir Tito Winyi of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom has passed on.
Princess Kabachunga, a sister to his majesty king of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom Dr. Solomon Gafabusa IguruI died on Tuesday evening at Mulago National Referral hospital where she had been undergoing for treatment for some time.
According to Eng Fred Mugenyi Ruchunya, the Bunyoro Kingdom chief prince-Okwir, the deceased has been battling blood cancer for the last over three years and she sometime back attained treatment in India.
Ruchunya said the royal clan is very saddened to lose Kabachunga whom he described as a social and caring person.
Andrew Byakutaga, the Prime Minister Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom has described her death as shocking and very regrettable on behalf of the kingdom.
He said a tentative burial arrangement has been issued saying the deceased will be buried on Friday at Mparo royal tombs.
According to the arrangement, the body will be transported to Buchunga, Mparo division Hoima municipality at the ancestral home.
Hajji Bruhan Kyakuhairwe, the Bunyoro Kingdom special assistant in charge of culture said the deceased was a strong pillar in advising them on how to handle kingdom matters.
This comes after nearly six months after Omukama Solomon Iguru of Bunyoro lost his first daughter princess Victoria Kabagabu in late January.
