KYEITEMBE PRIMARY SCHOOL REVIVAL; TEN MILLION SHILLINGS COLLECTED

Christians have today been encouraged to make education a priority in fostering development.
Ms.Annet Katusiime Mugisha who was the chief guest said this at a fundraising function held today at St.Paul’s Kyeitembe COU in Central Ward Bushenyi Municipality, aimed at collecting funds to renovate Kyeitembe Model Primary School.
She also called upon the congregation to put God first in everything they do if they are to succeed.
A number of Items collected and exchanged with money included Ironsheets, Pangas, Cow, Goats, Chicken, and Fruits among others.
Also Kyeitembe Reloaded and Kyeitembe Old Students Association [KOSA] were launched by former students to continue their development in this school.
The headteacher Wilson John Musinguzi said the function was aimed at soliciting funds renovate the school through Construction of a Classroom block with an office, to set up nursery playground structures, to purchase a seven lamp solar system to assist the school during load shedding, to purchase a set of five computers to use in school related activities including the teaching- learning processes among others.
Eng.Dr.Silver Mugisha, the Managing Director National Water and Sewerage Corporation [NWSC] advised the congregation to settle all political and religious differences and be united giving an example that he is a catholic and his wife Annet is a Protestant but they love each other.
He asked the general public to make sure that wetlands are kept in their nature adding that because if such areas are destroyed, there will be prolonged drought.
Mugisha appealed to parents of Kyeitembe to stop leaving their own school for far schools noting that the services they look for from away can be got from their nearby school if there is cooperation and unity.
Other dignitaries present were Deo Atuhaire, Faridah Mutambala, Peace Tibakuna, Adam Kyakuwa
Over UGX 10m was collected at the function help in renovating the school.
