TWO FAMILY MEMBERS BUTCHERED IN MASINDI

Two family members in Masindi are nursing would at Wananchi clinic after they were allegedly butchered by an Acholi man.
The injured are Raphael Kahebwa and his son Simon Muwanguzi both residents of Kinywamurara village Bwijanga sub county Masindi district were allegedly butchered by a one Murefu also of the same residence.
According to Simon Muwanguzi one of the victims, the scuffle started on Sunday at around 9:00 pm after Murefu refused to vacate the bar which prompted Raphael Kaheruto plead with him leading to scuffle.
Muwanguzi says that when the scuffle started Murefu rushed and picked a machete and started chasing against him until he butchered him.
Speaking to our reporter, Vincent Kazoora the former youth chairperson Kiywamurara says that they have the problem of Acholis in their village who do bad acts with impunity.
He adds that if government doesn’t intervene lives may be claimed in Kinywamurara village since security operatives have taken the matter lightly.
However, the district police commander Masindi district, Samuel Odongo noted that he was not aware of the matter.
