AGONY IN SHEEMA DISTRICT AS UNEB CANCELS 2020 PLE RESULTS OF 83 PUPILS

Uganda National Examinations Board has terminated 2020 PLE results of 83 pupils from Sheema district over examination malpractice.
The affected schools are Visionary Junior School with 42 pupils Kyabigo primary school with 41 pupils.
Loyce Kanyesigye Tumusiime the Sheema District Education Officer confirmed the matter noting that she had already written to the schools to allow all the pupils affected to repeat, once schools reopen.
The Residence District Commissioner Sheema, Frank Kyerere said he confirmed with UNEB about the cancellation of the results when he went to their offices with school heads and invigilators.
He told www.mknewslink.com that UNEB told them that there was examination malpractice in the mentioned schools and a decision was reached to cancel the results.
According to Kyerere, UNEB showed them papers of mathematics done by pupils and they found out that indeed there was cheating.
In July this year, UNEB released 2020 PLE results of 734,788 candidates and over 2000 candidates never received their results due to examination malpractice.
