AGRICULTURE CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT PROJECT INTRODUCED IN BUSHENYI

Agriculture Cluster Development Project (ACDP) from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries has embarked on training and educating farmers in Bushenyi District.
ACDP is a government project based in Kampala that is funded by a credit from the bank of Uganda and it greatly aims at increasing on-farm Productivity, production, and marketable volumes of selected agricultural commodities in specific geographic clusters.
Speaking as one of the guests in a two day farmers training that was held at Bushenyi Multipurpose hall that started on Tuesday 9th July2019, the RDC Jolly Tibemanya Bushenyi commended the Project for reaching in Bushenyi district saying that it has come at a time when people engaged in farming need it.
He also argued all people to welcome it and be strict on whatever inputs get donated to them which he called ownership role.
Tibemanya asked agricultural officers to mind about natural features and sensitize all farmers outside to avoid engaging in activities that destroy them like cultivating in swamps among others.
The training was attended by officers from the ministry of agriculture Bushenyi district, civil servants, farmers and some staff members from the United Bank for Africa (UBA).
