In Masindi—
Rose Kirabira Kobusinge the Resident District Commissioner – RDC Masindi has revealed that her life is still in danger.
Speaking yesterday at the district COVID 19 taskforce meeting, Kirabira said she is not happy with the way police handled the case of Joseph Serugo.
Recently, Joseph Serugo a resident of igayaza in Wakiso district accessed the office of Rose Kirabira with a machete. Recently Police confirmed that Serugo is mad, he was taken to court then later remanded to Masindi Prisons.
Kirabira said they shouldn’t have remanded him to prison if he is mad, rather he should have been investigated noting that he might be having rocket of colleagues who are planning to do the same thing to others.
“If he was really mad why they remanded him to prison, they were supposed to do more investigations because someone coming from Wakiso to Masindi asking particularly Rose Kirabira with a machete maybe had other intentions,” She noted.
IP Peter Mukasa the Community Liaisons Officer Masindi district noted that the file was taken to the resident state attorney, sanctioned and the suspect was remanded.
He however said he will inform the District Police Commander to update the documentary and the security committee.
