AMB. KATUNGWE MOURNS LATE MZEE CAN. KYAGONGO

Franklin Katungwe the deputy ambassador of Uganda to Belgium has joined the rest of Bushenyi residents to mourn the death of Late Mzee Can. Eliphaz Kyagongo.
Through a condolence message to the family of the Late Canon Eliphaz Kyagongo, Katungwe who is currently in Belgium said that he was sorry that he could not be with the family but was standing with them during the difficult times.
“It is with deep sorrow that I have learnt of the passing on to glory of Mzee Canon Eliphaz Kyagongo, who passed on at the age of 113 years. My family came to know him through my brother-in -law Oweishemwe Jackson Mbagirenta, who is his uncle,” Reads part of Katungwe’s message.
Amb. Katungwe described Mzee Canon Eliphaz Kyagongo as a committed Christian who did not miss any Sunday Service when his health enabled him to.
He added that he remembers the late Mzee for his preaching against women wearing gold Jewelry and other outward adornment.
The Ambassador narrated that Mzee Kyagongo being his friend, he (Katungwe) would visit him (Mzee) at his home whenever he would be in Bushenyi and they would chat for not less than an hour.
