ANKOLE WESTERN UNIVERSITY ALUMNI PROTEST RESIGNATION OF VICE CHANCELLOR

The Ankole Western University Alumni have expressed their concern following the resignation of Dr. Micheal Katusiime the former Vice chancellor who joined politics.
A group of Alumni led by Atuhaire Deo and Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante resolved to meet the university Chancellor Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni on t he issue of replacing the vice Chancellor.
According to Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante, the chancellor should appoint the vice chancellor as soon as possible before the situation worsens.
Muhwezi added that Dr. Katusiime had done a great job in reviving the university noting that there is a need to replace him with a competent person.
Dr. Katusiime was replaced by his predecessor Rev. Canon Edidah Mujinya who according to the Alumni had left the University in a very poor state with a lot of debts.
The Alumni formed a committee which will over look the matter and these include; Deo Atuhaire the Chairperson, Joseph Tusingwiire vice chairperson, Brighton Arinda general secretary, Peace Ampaire treasurer, Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante Publicity, Daniel Tashobya Alumni representative to the council.
Other members include; Mrs. Precious Akore secretary for women affairs, Morris Tusingwire, Abraham Kwijuka and Rev. Joseph Mweyungye all committee members.
