ANKOLE ZONAL INDUSTRIAL HUB PASSES OUT 235 YOUTH, GRADUATES RALLIED TO USE SKILLS ATTAINED TO FIGHT UNEMPLOYMENT

A total of 235 youth were passed out on Friday after undergoing training in different practical courses at Ankore Zonal Industrial Hub, established to skill the youth in Ankole sub region.
The hub which is located at Muko village, Rushozi Parish, Rubaya Sub-county in Mbarara district covers the thirteen districts of Mbarara , Buhweju, Rwampara , Ibanda, Kiruhura,Kazo , Bushenyi ,Sheema, Isingiro,Rubirizi, Bushenyi , Mitooma and Mbarara city
While awarding certificates to the graduands ,Gloria Tukundane , the manager of the industrial hub ,appealed to government to increase the number of youth joining the hub so as to accommodate the appealing number of learners in the region.
She says apparently each district in Ankore sub region is required to send 12 beneficiaries which is more lesser compared to the appealing number of youth thay would wish to benefit from the hub.
Mrs.Loydah Twinomujuni Muhimbura , the lady councilor Rubaya sub county said the hub would scale down on unemployment by providing employable skills to more youths.
She also commended President Museveni for fulfilling his pledge of establishing industrial hubs in the country to skill the youth, saying the trained youth will be supported to create their own jobs.
“This is a clear indication that the NRM government is always committed to implementing it’s manifesto”Twinomujuni explained.
While passing out the graduands,Mrs. Jane Barekye, the State House Comptroller implored local leaders to mobilize the graduated youth into SACCO’S so as to benefit from government’s poverty intervention programs such as parish development model,Youth livelihood program and Emyoga.
