ANOTHER BUSHENYI MAN KILLED BY MOB OVER THEFT

A man in Bushenyi has been killed by angry residents after being caught carrying head of a goat they suspected to have been stolen from their neighbor.

The deceased only identified as Bruce Ainomujuni aged 33 a resident of Katikamwe A, Kyabugimbi Sub county Bushenyi District was on 12^th Nov.2019 held and terribly beaten by mob according to police.

The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime said that the owner of the stolen goat Grace Mugumya of the same residence came to report the case after the suspect (Bruce) was held by group of people at Rwenjeru cell Kyabugimbi Sub county Bushenyi District.

He added that unfortunately as the Police rushed to arrest the suspect, they found him lying along the road with multiple injuries on the body and sack containing head of a goat and pieces of meat on his side.

SP Martial said that the deceased was immediately rushed to Kyabugimbi Health Center IV for medication where he unluckily died from.

Speaking to www.mknewslink.com, SP Martial condemned the act by settlers saying that they should not always take laws in their hands because they might occasionally kill an innocent person.

He also warned all the people to tightly guard their properties as Christmas season draws closer saying that the police comes secondary.
