ANOTHER LION FROM QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK KILLED

Another world tourism treasure a female lion in Queen Elizabeth national park in Kasese district has been discovered dead in Katunguru grazing zone near Lake Edward, bringing the number of dead to 12 in a period of two weeks.
The female lion which was expecting to deliver was discovered dead yesterday by game rangers during their patrol in the national park.
According to Edward Asalu the Conservation Area Manager Queen Elizabeth National Park, preliminary report indicate that the dead lion could have been killed by its fellow lions as they were fighting for food in their grazing zone.
Meanwhile a team of American veterinary specialists in wild life health have arrived in Queen Elizabeth national park to establish whether the eleven lions that were recently discovered dead in Hamukungu landing site were poisoned.
The dead lions are currently being kept at Katwe Division Police headquarters waiting to be buried this week.
