In Bushenyi—
The archbishop of the church of Uganda, his grace Stanley Ntagali has said he will investigate the claims which president made yesterday at Bweranyangi hill in Bushenyi district related to born again churches that worship in the same way link Anglicans.
Mr. Museveni , while attending a function yesterday in sembabule met a section of born again Christians praising and worshiping in an Anglican way though they don’t belong to church of Uganda.
He asked the head of the Anglican Church how he is going to handle a section of those people since they may create divisionism within the church of Uganda. He added that worse still some of those people are his relatives yet the kaguta family members are staunch Anglicans.
The president said this while officiating as chief guest at a function at west Ankole diocese to consecrate and enthrone the fourth bishop of the same diocese Rt Rev Johnson Twinomujuni at Bweranyangi hill.
While speaking to www.mknewslink.com managing editor on phone today afternoon May 29, 2017, Ntagali noted that he was going to investigate president Museveni’s claim because currently there many born again churches and therefore he doesnot know which the Ssembabule sect is?
Thousands of people yesterday thronged Bweranyangi hill to witness the fourth consecration of the diocese who replaces Yona Mwesigwa Katonene who ended his ten year reign as the bishop late last year amid protests from a section of Christians from Sheema district.
Most of the born again churches copy a lot from the Anglican Church by dressing in their colors and even singing the same songs like Tukutendereza among others.
