ARMED MEN ATTACK KIKUUBE WOMAN MP’S HOME

Three armed men are reported to have last night raided the residence of Kikuube woman Member of Parliament Hon. Tophus Kaahwa.

Speaking this morning, Hon Kaahwa said the incident occurred at around 2:00Am but nobody was injured neither was anything stolen.

According to her, the unknown assailants first attempted to break the main gate, failed but later jumped the parameter wall and accessed the main house located in Kibati 2 cell, Hoima municipality.

“They however failed to break in which prompted them to smash her bedroom windows before they fled away after the intervention of police.”

Kaahwa said she is worried by the move saying she does not know the motive behind it.

Julius Allan Hakiiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson confirmed the report saying that police responded urgently after being notified by the legislature but found when the assailants had taken
off.

He said investigations are underway to have the suspects arrested and charged.
This is not the first time the assailants are attacking the legislatures residence. Last year, unknown thugs broke her gate before gaining entrance into her compound.
