ARREST BOU TOP OFFICIALS ALSO; ACCOUNTANT GENERAL’S RELATIVES AND FRIENDS SPEAK OUT

Relatives and friends of the arrested accountant general of ministry of finance Lawrence Ssemakula are demanding that bank of top bank of Uganda officials be arrested too.

They said this in a telephone interview with www.mknewslink.com on Wednesday , February 5, 2025 after they had that their person had been arrested by the police criminal investigations department (CID) following the recent money heist at Bank of Uganda.

Ssemakula’s relatives maintain that the deputy governor must be arrested too with all staff because they are among the racket.

The fights in the finance ministry are orchestrated by Ramadhan Ngobi because he wants to work with his own people.

The relatives do not want to mention their names because they do not want to be punished by the regime which normally comes out to seriously to punish whoever defends the presumed corrupt.

Ssemakula is born in Bunyaruguru county in the south western Uganda in the district of Rubirizi.

The relatives maintain that Ssemakula is innocent because there are fights in ministry.

There have been fights between Ssemakula and the PS Ngobi. Ngobi wants only his own people and Ssemakula worked with the late PS Keith Muhakanizi and Ngobi wants him out.

The 8 arrested are still held at CID head offices in Kampala.
