AT LEAST FIVE PEOPLE MURDERED IN KIGEZI PER WEEK

Kigezi regional Police have attributed rampant killings in the region on Poor community policing.

According to the Kigezi regional police spokes person Elly Matte, at least five people in Kigezi region are murdered weekly.

Speaking to www.mknewslink.com yesterday, Matte said that People in kigezi region are not close and friendly to police whereby they see police as their opponents.

He added that for this, residents have failed to bring and report wrong doers causing criminality which is happening now and then on a daily basis.

He added that it is alarming in some parts of Kisoro and Rukungiri followed by Kanungu and Kabale District where majority of the people are being adamantly murdered by their own neighbors and relatives.

He further said that police have always informed the locals to report every person in their villages whose characters are untamed but all in vain.
