BEBE COOL, AMBER HEART FOUNDATION OPEN THREE TB SCREENING CENTRES IN MBARARA

Uganda’s TB Ambassador, Moses Ssali alias Bebe cool and Amber Heart Foundation team yesterday opened three screening desks in Mbarara.
The three centres were opened at Mbarara regional referral hospital, Mbarara city Health center IV and Bwizibwera Health center IV in campaign against Tuberculosis.
This makes it a total of 16 screening desks all together in Kampala, Jinja and now Mbarara.
Bebe cool says the objective of this year’s TB REACH project is Finding Missing People with TB and linking them to medication.
Tuberculosis remains a major public health problem in Uganda with an annual incidence of 330 cases of all forms and 136 new similar positive cases.
Last year, 1.3 million people around the world died of TB with Uganda among the 22 most affected countries.
