BIG NAMES SHOWN EXIST IN NRM PRIMARIES FOR DISTRICT CHAIRPERSONS

Results from NRM primaries for LCV Chairpersons show that some big names from several districts were shown exist.
In Ntungamo district the former media personality Sam Mucunguzi was declared a winner after defeating the incumbent Denis Singahache with 68,251 votes while Singahache had 33,151 votes, Tom Muhoozi came third with 21,964 votes and Mpumwire Magambo with 19,728 votes
In Sheema district Jemimah Buhanda was declared a winner after getting 25,250 votes defeating the incumbent Rev. Can. Kabigumira David who had only 11,059 votes, Laban Muhabwa 20,212 votes and Eldard Mwesigye with 9,967 votes.
In Kazo district the interim district chairman Mutegyereize Kanara was defeated by Rev. Katungunda Sam with 36,358 votes against 15,981 votes
In Mbarara district Didas Tabaro was declared a winner after he garnered 40,024 votes against 23,212 of Kururagire Twongirwe and Mugisha Stephen Brown who got 233 votes.
Nshangabasheija the chairman LCIII for Katuna garnered 45,247 votes defeating his closest opponent, incumbent Kabale district Chairperson Patrick Besigye Keihwa who polled 21,803 votes. Keihwa is also the Western region vice Chairman Uganda Local Government Association (ULGA)
