The Bishop South Ankole Diocese Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe urges chronic diseases patients to be optimistic as many suffering from such diseases lived for years.
Speaking at the launch of Cancer Run Five at Independence Park in Mbarara that was organized by Rotary International and Centenary Bank, Bishop Ahimbisibwe said that when people test positive of chronic diseases like Cancer, HIV/AIDS among others most of them loose hope and start selling out their property but he urged them that they should not lose hope as they can live for many years.
Ahimbisibwe however calls upon them to always go for Screening and testing as prevention is better than Cure.
The Chairperson organizing committee Cancer Run Five Lydia Bujara says that this cancer run five is aimed at soliciting money to purchase Linear cancer machine for Cancer ward at Nsabya Hospital.
Bujara says that this run is for all kinds of people as a cancer disease does not segregate in color or age.
