The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has called upon newly confirmed Christians to always uphold the virtue of truthfulness in all aspects of their lives.
He made these remarks today while officiating at the confirmation ceremony during the service at St. John’s Kizinga Archdeaconry in Kaharo Sub County of Kabale District, where 150 Christians were confirmed into the Anglican faith.
Bishop Akanjuna emphasized the importance of honesty, urging the newly confirmed Christians to always tell the truth regardless of the situation. He highlighted that truth is the cornerstone of their faith and a reflection of their commitment to living according to Christ’s teachings.
He urged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and adhere to the moral standards of Christianity.
Preaching in the same service, Kwesiga Ambrose, a theology lecturer at Bishop Barham University, called on Christians to turn away from demonic teachings and follow the path of Jesus Christ. He highlighted that Satan is infiltrating the church in mysterious ways, thus calling on true believers to stand firm and fight against it.
He also warned Christians about the dangers of false prophets and encouraged believers to remain true to their faith.
