In Bushenyi—
The Bishop of West Ankole Diocese Johnson Twinomujuni has humbly requested the house of clergy to exhibit a lot of respect and faithfulness for the church of Uganda while serving God.
“We should love and respect our church, diocese, and learn how to protect our leaders from unnecessary injustices,” the Bishop noted.
He said this during a seminar organized to educate Archdeacons, parish vicars, their head of laities and treasurers at Cathedral Bweranyangi, Bushenyi district.
Speaking on the allegations put against him by Emmanuel Karasi, Bishop Twinomujuni promised to visit Archbishop Stephen Kazimba soon so that he can settle the issues with his Christian.
He, however warned church leaders to avoid temptations from young ladies in their churches adding that immorality has increased in the church of Christ because of such temptations.
Willis Bashasha who is a newly appointed diocesan head of laity called upon members to be good ambassadors of peace, unity, development and also use organs of the church to solve religious matters.
According to the diocesan treasurer Dan Natukunda, church leaders should keep reports and records concerning church property to avoid misunderstandings among Christians.
He strongly condemned theft of church funds and property, but asked them to serve exemplary and be good stewards.
