BISHOP JOHNSON WARNS CHURCH LEADERS AGAINST TAKING BRIBES FROM CHRISTIANS FOR FAVOURS

In Bushenyi—
The Bishop of West Ankole diocese Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni has warned church leaders against taking bribes from Christians in exchange for favors.
Bishop Johnson made the remarks yesterday at St. Paul Bweranyangyi Cathedral during the ordination of 4 Reverends and 5 deacons.
He added that some people who want to become church leaders like reverends first bribe top church authorities which has brought infiltrations into the church and incompetent servants of God.
He also warned Christians to stop pressurizing the diocese to install new leaders such as Canons adding that West Ankole Diocese has enough canons and does not need more.
Bishop Johnson however hailed Christians for accepting God’s servants sent to their churches unlike in the past where they rejected Reverends and other priests assigned to their churches.
