The Bishop of West Ankole Diocese, Johnson Twinomujuni, has urged couples to remain united and work together for the growth and development of their families.
Speaking yesterday at a confirmation ceremony held at St. Paul Church of Uganda in Kitagata Archdeaconry, where more than 530 Christians were welcomed into the Anglican faith, Bishop Twinomujuni emphasized the importance of cooperation among family heads as a foundation for prosperity and stability.
The Bishop also issued a stern warning to clergy members, advising them to avoid behaviors such as adultery and prostitution, both to uphold moral standards and to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.
Additionally, the ceremony served as a fundraising event, generating over 47 million Ugandan shillings for the ongoing construction of a new church building. The project, projected to cost 1.5 billion shillings, is being overseen by Dr. Nicholas Mwebesa, Treasurer of Kitagata Archdeaconry.
