IN BUSHENYI———–
The bishop of west Ankole diocese Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni has strongly warned Ugandan MPs against fighting in parliament while in serious discussions in the house.
He made the call today Nov. 08, 2024 during the burial ceremony of Late Obadia Ntebekeine Rushambuza at his home in Nyakabirizi Bushenyi district.
The Bishop noted that MPs should use brains to fight but not swinging chairs against each other.
He added that they can agree to disagree but not a physical fight. He warned mainly MPs from western Uganda never to be involved in such backward fights.
On Wednesday this week during a coffee bill debate, MPs Francis Zake and Anthony Akol from northern Uganda boxed each other over a chair. MP Zake is still admitted.
