By Fred Mwebembezi
In Fort Portal—
The bishop of Ruwenzori diocese Rt. Rev. Reuben Kisembo wants the government to reconsider its decision on closure of Churches.
Rt. Rev. Reuben Kisembo wonders why the government would reopen public transport, shopping arcades among others leaving out Churches which are more organized than those businesses.
Bishop Kisembo says during the lockdown, many Christians were faced with challenges of domestic violence, murder, suicide and financial stress due to closure of some businesses among others.
He adds that therefore if Churches are opened, the victims of such evils will receive counseling, comfort physical, emotional and spiritual.
The Bishop was yesterday speaking to our reporter shortly after receiving a tractor that was donated by the Ministry of Agriculture, NAADS and Operation wealth creation in a bid to increase agriculture productivity.
