BISHOP LAMBERT TO BE ENTHRONED MBARARA ARCHBISHOP ON 20TH JUNE 2020

Mbarara Catholic Archdiocese has set 20th June 2020 as the date for the enthronement of the new archbishop.
The function will take place at Nyamitanga catholic cathedral in Mbarara town, Mbarara district, according to the outgoing Archbishop Rt Rev Paul Bakyenga.
The most Rev Paul Bakyenga resigned from the pastoral care after clocking 75 years retirement age.
Bishop Bakyenga was born in Bumbaire, Bushenyi district.
He was ordained a priest on 11th July 1971 at the age of 27 and has been the Archbishop of Mbarara since 2nd January 1999 up to 25th April 2020
While talking to www.mknewslink.com on weekend, Rt Rev Paul Bakyenga said he is thankful that Pope Francis accepted his retirement letter and gave them Rt. Rev. Lambert Beinomugisha as his successor .
According to Rev. Bakyenga, Lambert Beinomugisha has been auxiliary Bishop for at least 15 years and has been executing his duties with care.
While talking to press on 25th April 2020 after his appointment, the incoming Archbishop Rt Rev Lambert Beinomugisha said he will follow the footsteps of his boss and always ask for career guidance from him.
Bishop Lambert Beinomugisha was born on 12th June, 1961 in Kashumba, Bukanga Isingiro district.
He was ordained a priest on 13th July 1991 and appointed the assistant to Archbishop Bakyenga by Pope Benedicto XVI on 2nd July 2005
However, mass gathering is still on ban as the country fights the spread of the deadly Corona virus and the country has been under lock down since 20th March 2020.
