BISHOP MAGEZI WARNS COUPLES TO DESIST FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

North Kigezi diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev Benon Magezi has warned the couples against domestic violence which he says is dangerous and continues to break up families while others lose lives.

Speaking to www.mknewslink.com reporter in an exclusive interview, the bishop attributed domestic violence to dishonesty and poverty which have created gap between married couples.

Bishop Magezi noted that some couples don’t have enough money to meet all their family necessities while others are adulterous which has brought about instability in many families.

He requested married couples to always engage in dialogue whenever they have a misunderstanding, and involve God the source of wisdom, in their marriages.

The Rukungiri district probation and welfare office has registered more than 50 cases of domestic violence especially against women during Covid Lock down yet others go unregistered.
