BISHOP STUART UNIVERSITY HOLDS ITS 18TH GRADUATION CEREMONY, 1,661 GRADUATE

Graduates tipped to turn challenges into opportunities.
Graduates have been asked to use the knowledge and skills they have attained through the years in school and turn challenges into opportunities through action research, creativity and innovations.
The first Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni who is also the Minister of Education and Sports, said this is the only way they can easily make it in life.
Janet made the remarks in a speech read for her by the Cabinet Minister for ICT, Dr.Chris Baryomunsi during the 18th graduation ceremony of over 1600 Students of Bishop Stuart University (BSU) held at Riverside grounds in Kakoba ward, Mbarara city.
She noted that global challenges made people like Bill Gates of Microsoft, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook among others to become billionaires.
Janet urged the university staff to strategically create more partnership and Collaboration networks which will build their research profiles and strengthen their work.
She said that globalization and digital error have presented Ugandans with unprecedented opportunities for partnerships that can help in transforming societies.
The university’s chancellor, Dr. Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa urged graduates to be innovative young entrepreneurs who will always use opportunities that will always come their way.
A total of 1,661 Students were awarded with Diplomas, Bachelors, Masters and PHD’s in various disciplines.
