BREAKING NEWS: BESIGYE, INGRID, OTHERS FINALLY RELEASED

The Rukungiri chief magistrate’s court presided over by Julius Borore has today morning October 25,2017 granted bail to Col.Dr.Kizza Besigye, Ingrid Turinawe and others.
The presiding chief magistrate accepted bail application by the applicants on two charges of inciting violence, destruction of property and disobeying statutory orders.
Appearing before court, the suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges and applied for a bail which was granted to them after producing requires sureties including Betty Bamukwasa Muzanira and Rujumbura MP; Fred Turyamuhweza.
Besigye and his colleagues were arrested on Thursday last week in Rubanda district while going to hold a rally in Kabale district.
The embattled politicians had had a fracas with police in Rukungiri on Wednesday where one person was shot dead by police and over ten others injured by bullets.
