BREAKING NEWS: BUSHENYI -ISHAKA MAYOR KAMUGASHA RETIRES FROM POLITICS

Bushenyi Ishaka municipal council mayor Jackson Kamugasha has today 28^th Sept.2020 retired from elective politics.

“I have served for 15 years, let other leaders also come up and serve because am not the only leader in Bushenyi,” Mayor Kamugasha revealed.

Kamugasha took over as a mayor for Bushenyi Ishaka town council in 2006 as an independent candidate and has ended his leadership still as an independent.

Kamugasha has made a lot of achievements in his 15-year tenure such as working hard to ensure that Bushenyi Ishaka town council grows into a municipality on 1^st July 2010.

He has been categorical on fighting corruption in the municipality and three corrupt senior municipal staff were interdicted with his effort alongside civil society organizations.
