BREAKING NEWS: OVER 60 KAMPALA MOSLEMS ATTACK ISHAKA MOSQUE, THIRTY INJURED, 7 ARRESTED

IN BUSHENYI–
Police in Bushenyi have in custody seven moslems on allegations of trespassing and attacking their fellow Muslims at Basajabalaba Mosque in Ishaka.
Police spokesperson for greater Bushenyi ;SP.Martial Tumusiime says preliminary investigations reveal that over 60 people from Kampala last night came aboard two coaster buses and attacked a group of muslems guarding the mosque.
In self defense, the mosque guards overpowered the attackers and injured many of them with pangas before police intervened to defuse the situation.
Before police came, a number of the attackers had sustained serious injuries thus bleeding excessively.
Seven of the attackers were arrested while others were rushed to KIU teaching Hospital in Ishaka in critical condition.
Police have identified the suspects in detention as Kato Musafir,Lubega Ahamedi,Matovu Bamulaziki,Mugoya Sawali, Rogers Atuhaire and Yunusu Khalid.
The fight between the two moslem groups came as the result of disagreements between Tycoon Hassan Basajabalaba and some sections of the moslems. The tycoon allegedly wants to shift the moscue and Basajabalaba primary school to use the land for other personal developmental projects.
