The Bishop of West Ankole diocese Rit Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni has presented a letter to synod by Sheema Christians requesting for its own diocese.
The letter which was brought to the diocesan Bishop yesterday by a team of Sheema top leaders. Sam Kahindi confirmed to www.mknewslink.com managing editor today morning that they delivered the letter yesterday.
Twenty minutes ago, Bishop Johnson presented the letter to the ongoing synod and asked members to discuss it.
Currently members are discussing the Bishop’s speech which contains the Sheema letter to succeed from west Ankole diocese.
Sheema’s need for a diocese started in 2014 during Bishop Katoneene’s tenure and fought vigorously with him[Bishop] and even banned him from visiting the majority churches in Sheema district.
