BSU REMANDED STUDENTS MISS EXAMS AFTER FAILING TO GET BAIL

25 Students of Bishop Stuart University who were remanded to Ntungamo government prison are likely to miss out on the ongoing University examinations after failing to secure themselves court bail.
The 25 are part of 29 suspect who were this week remanded by Mbarara Grade I magistrate Doreen Ainembabazi on accounts of wrongful confinement and rescuing a person from lawful custody.
According to Rose Rwankore the Bishop Stuart University Public Relations officer,as of yesterday a total of four students managed to get bail and more are expected to be bailed out today.
She added that the University has engaged the parents of the detained students to forge a way on how they can secure bail for their children.
Rose Rwankore further said that as the university management, they will provide exams to all the jailed students as soon as they secure bail as court settles their issues.
The PRO said that exams started yesterday Wednesday and they are still on going.
