Buhweju parliamentary race heats up as five join to hold the NRM flag in the forthcoming coming elections.

The known contestants in the NRM Primaries now are DanielNareeba, Efraimu Biraaro Gashanga, Wilson Bebaaga, Ferdinand Kanyankore, and Sabiiti George.
However, some of them who talked to our reporter still have hopes that Buhweju will be divided into two constituencies; Buhweju main and Buhweju West.
If the proposed Buhweju west Constituency is approved, the incumbent Francis Mwijukye remains in Buhweju main constituency.
Daniel Nareeba who picked his nomination papers on Monday 27th 2020, told our reporter that Buhweju needs a good leader who can unite people and have a strong voice.
Nareeba said he is aiming at getting ready market for farmers in Buhweju especially tea and coffee farmers by initiating the startup of factories in the area and also make sure that the area has good roads to ease transportation of their products.
He has been the chief finance officer for Buhweju district before joining elective politics.
