BUHWEJU TEA FARMERS ASKED TO FORM GROUPS

The state minister for trade and Cooperatives Fred Gume has tasked tea farmers in Buhweju district to form groups instead of working in isolation
He noted that groups will enable them attract investors to support them.
The minister was on Thursday meeting tea farmers of Nyakisana subcounty in Buhweju district in his visit to assess the area as plans are on going to give them 5 tea factories with in the district.
He noted if farmers unite,they will be able to produce in large quantities in addition to sharing knowledge with in their groups.
Addressing the same meeting ,the Buhweju West Legislator Ephraim Biraaro asked residents to change their mindset and receive the new innovations and make use of these factories to make both the young and the old busy with work which he said will lead to development.
Meanwhile Daniel Nareeba the Kanuuka tea growers association chairperson asked people to be engaged in all activities on a serious note to develop themselves and educate their children if the society is to develop.
