Kenneth Tumusiime the sub county chairperson confirms the incident, and says that he got a call from the in charge who had not reached the scene yet.
Tumusiime says that he got a copy of a resignation letter from an askari who resigned three days before the disappearance of the solar panels.
“It’s unfortunate act, but I’ll convene a meeting to find an immediate solution for the health Centre,” he assured.
After getting the rounds on social media over the theft of the solar panels, Longino Bahebwa the Resident District Commissioner – RDC Buliisa says up now he hasn’t received any information regarding the theft of solar panels.
He says since the government recruited the askaris to every health Centre and unit, the investigation should begin with the facility askari together with the in charge.
“Please police I want to get the report that the responsible officers are in your hands and have recorded the statement if not we are going to take action immediately,” he noted.
Bahebwa added if the CID Kihungya Police Post fails to get them, he will immediately involve the Inspector General of Government (IGG), and thieves will be brought to book.
