Leaders from Bunyoro have praised President Museveni for including their own in the just released cabinet.
Museveni appointed Robinah Nabanja the Member of Parliament for Kakumiro as the prime minister, Mrs Grace Mugasa the former Mayor Hoima City, the State Minister for Public Service and Fred Byamukama as State Minister for Works and Transport.
Bunyoro leaders have also pledged to work with Hon. Janepher Namuyanga who was appointed as the state minister for Bunyoro Affairs despite a section of Banyoro who want the president to rescind the appointment and appoint a Munyoro as the Minister for Bunyoro Affairs since such a person can ably understand issues affecting the region.
Andrew Byakutaga, the Kingdom Prime Minister says that Bunyoro Kingdom is happy and appreciates the appointment of Robinah Nabanja as Uganda’s first female prime minister and the first from Bunyoro.
He has asked the people of Bunyoro to welcome and support the new minister for Bunyoro affairs but also advised government to have a budget for the docket otherwise it will remain on paper.
The Bugahya Constituency MP Hon. Pius Wakabi says he is ready to work with the new state minister for Bunyoro affairs Hon. Janepher Namuyangu in pushing the development agenda for Bunyoro.
Hon. Wakabi has described Hon. Namuyangu as a hardworking person, wit and has knowledge about various issues that affect the local person
“She’s passionate about women issues and oppressed. I have no doubt that she will work tirelessly for the region. “I call upon all of us to support her and ensure that our region scales the heights,” He added.
