BUSHENYI: 17 YEAR OLD BOY DROWNS IN POND IN KAJURIGO SWAMP, BODY YET TO BE RETRIEVED

Police and Residents in Bushenyi town are searching for a body of a 17 year old boy who drowned in a pond in Kajurigo swamp along Bushenyi Ishaka road near Bushenyi Central Police station.
It is alleged that the boy identified as Ivan Gumisiriza a house help at Beth Ntobotobo’s home drowned yesterday evening when he had gone with his other three colleagues to swim in the pond.
One of the three boys who had gone to swim with the deceased narrates that Gumisiriza called them for help and they had to throw him their bottles they use to swim but he had lost energy and could not use them thus he drowned.
According to Beth Ntobotobo the boss to Gumisiriza, he left home at around 5:00pm without telling them where he was going only to receive a call later that he had drowned into water.
Beth says they immediately started looking for the body up to now they have not retrieve it.
