BUSHENYI @50 YRS: MITOOMA CHAIRMAN HAILS LATE PRESIDENT IDDI AMIN FOR CREATING BUSHENYI, RUKUNGIRI DISTRICTS

Mitooma district chairman Mr. Benon Karyaija has hailed Former president of Uganda Idda Amin Dada for creating two districts of; Greater Bushenyi and Rukungiri.

Mr. Karyaija wished Iddi Amin to continue to rest in eternal peace because this was a reasonable achievement.

Mitooma popular district chairman said this recently during the celebrations to mark 50 years of Bushenyi district existence.

Bushenyi was granted a district status in 1974 and since then five district have been curved out of it

The districts are; Ntungamo, Rubirizi, Mitooma, Buhweju and Sheema.

Bushenyi was curved out of Mbarara district and since then it has also been over split into other 7 districts including Mbarara city.

Late President Idda Amin Dada is referred to in Uganda’s history as a top dictator during his time therefore people believe that he didn’t do anything Good.
