BUSHENYI DISTRICT CHAIRMAN CENSURE DIES NATURAL DEATH

The censure of Bushenyi district chairman Jafari Basajabalaba has died out without making it to the floor of Bushenyi district council.
Sources from the censure group at one time revealed that they had raised 13 signatures out of 32 but after allegedly attaining that number the talk vanished.
Mr. chairman Basajabalaba told www.mknewslink.com editor today morning that some councilors wanted to withdrawl their signatures because the they now claim the issues they had can be amicably be discussed without necessarily going for censure.
The chairman added that more details can be got from the speaker of the district Justine Burisadi over how the censure has died out
Mr. Jafari also noted that he is willing to reconcile with the councilors in case the notice that he over stepped on their mandate.
Two weeks ago, Bushenyi district was overshadowed by a censure motion aimed at removing their district chairman but all over sudden it died a natural death.
In Mitooma district one of the most popular chairmen in the region Benon Karyaija Boneza was censured two years ago but challenged his censure in the court of appeal. His vice chairman is now serving as district chairman.
