Bushenyi district has today launched the mass vaccination campaign against Covid-19.
The campaign was officially launched at Bushenyi Health Center 1V by the Bushenyi district chairperson Jaffari Basajjabalaba, Chief Administrative Officer, Health department heads and workers among others.
Jaffari Basajjabalaba thanked the people of Bushenyi for turning up in big numbers adding that it clearly shows that Bushenyi is still a model district.
Edward Mwesigye, Bushenyi District Health Officer said the district received 26,710 doses of Johnson and Johnson vaccine from the ministry of health and have selected 81 vaccination sites for people who will turn up for the exercise.
He also appealed to all people to quickly turn up for vaccination because it’s still available explaining that they might need it at a later time when it’s no longer available.
Our reporter visited Kizinda, Ishaka and St Kagwa vaccination sites and found an overwhelming number of people waiting to be vaccinated.
