BUSHENYI: FAMILY OF 5 SURVIVE DEATH AFTER THEIR HOUSE IS DESTROYED BY HEAVY RAIN

Five members of the same family on Wednesday this week narrowly survived death after their house was swept away in a heavy downpour characterized by hailstorm.

Anatoli Mugisha a resident of Ryamabengwa ward Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality and a father of three told www.mknewslink.com reporter that his family survived death because they had taken shelter at a neighbour’s house at the time of the incident.

He said that the rain which started at around 4pm collapsed the wall of his house destroying everything in the inside

The rain that lasted for almost 5 hours left residents of Ryamabengwa and neighbouring villages crying for what to eat since it destroyed hectares of banana plantation, beans, maize, cassava, potatoes into pieces.

Speaking to our reporter, George Maggyezi the chairperson LCI Ryamabengwa said that his people are in the state of emergency and need quick help if they are to survive.
