BUSHENYI: HAILSTORM LEAVES KYAMUHUNGA RESIDENTS HOMELESS,ON HUNGER

Residents of Kyampanga and Torotoro cells in Kabingo Parish Kyamuhunga sub-county donot know what the future holds following a heavy hailstorm which destroyed their crops, houses, and banana plantations.
This happened on Sunday evening and the affected villages are still dismayed.
Residents who talked to www.mknewslink.com reporter said, in the afternoon hours a heavy rainfall down pour came in a hurry and left people homeless after breaking down four houses.
One of the victims Johnbosco Musinguzi a blind man sustained injuries from falling debris of his house and his family of four was left homeless.
The local area chairperson Godfrey Muramuzi called for support as most people depended on their crops like tea and banana plantations, yet they have all been washed away.
In his appeal, he asked area leaders and well-wishers to run for his village as a lot have been destroyed by the hailstorm.
Former Kyamuhunga sub- county speaker Asiimwe Rwabahiima pleaded for government support to the locals as the whole village was left with nothing to feed on. The most affected residents are Kayebare Stephen and Gilvase Babigumira.
