BUSHENYI HAILSTORM VICTIMS RECEIVE FOOD RELIEF FROM PM’S OFFICE

In Bushenyi—

Residents of Nyabubare subcounty and Kyabugimbi Town council in Bushenyi district  have received relief from the office of the prime minister following the hailstorm that hit them in November last year.

Over 19500kgs of maize flour and 9800 kgs of beans were received by Bushenyi district leaders on Saturday at the works center in Nyakabirizi.

Jaffari Bassajabalaba the Bushenyi district chairperson told www.mknewslink.com  reporter that they had earlier received some relief for those who were affected but Nyabubare and Kyabugimbi Town council had not received.

He added that the food relief would be handed over to the chairpersons of the affected areas who will later distribute them to the.

Louis Gaffa Mbwatekama the Igara West legislator called upon those who were not affected by the hailstorm not to interfere with the distribution.

He further thanked the district leaders for the effort they have invested   towards requesting for the relief.

Annet Katusiime Mugisha, the Bushenyi district woman Member of Parliament asked the residents to develop a culture of storing food to always get prepared for such disasters.
