In Bushenyi—
As schools remain closed since lock-down in March this year, pupils have been facing difficulties in accessing learning materials which according to observers is dangerous.
Lawyer Marvin Baryaruha who is also eyeing the Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality hot seat, on Friday donated learning materials including holiday packages to pupils in candidate classes in a bid to bridge the gap between those who have easy access to Television, radio and other media and those who can’t easily access any of those.
In his remarks while handing over learning materials at his home in Nyaruzinga Bushenyi, Baryaruha urged parents to give children adequate time for revision and also help them where necessary.
He also urged children to spend their time in revision rather than being idle and loitering around villages.
Celestine Twinomugisha, the chairperson of head teachers in Bushenyi Ishaka municipality and also the headteacher St. Kagwa Boarding Primary school who was present to witness the distribution of learning materials to beneficiaries, commended Baryaruha for what he did and urged parents to be more vigilant on their children and provide them with all basic needs.
