BUSHENYI- ISHAKA RESIDENTS BOTHERED OVER POOR ROADS, LC V BOSS BLAMES MUNICIPAL ENGINEER

Bushenyi LC V Chairman Hajji Jaffari Bassajjabalaba has blamed the sorry state of the roads in the municipality on the Engineer Adam Muhwezi who has refused to seek for road equipments from the district.

Jaffari said that the equipments to work on roads were given by the government not strictly to be used by the district but also the municipality where he said that he has never seen the Municipality engineer Adam coming to seek for them.

Jaffari was speaking after residents raised a number of issues concerning poor roads in the Municipality during a Budget Conference held at Bushenyi Municipal Council Hall on 24^th Oct 2019.

Jaffari who was the chief guest at the conference revealed that, the municipality does not request road equipments from the district because they think by doing so; there will be some costs or expenditures.

He appealed to the Engineer and other concerned authorities to use the equipments maximally to ensure quality and durable roads.

 However, Adam said that they are being challenged by insufficient equipments to compact roads and at the same time they work according to the budget.

Speaking to www.mknewslink.com, the Bushenyi Ishaka Municipal Council speaker Milton Kasubure who chaired the conference said that some road equipments were not given in time by the district.

He added that when the Municipal Engineer Adam request for the equipments, he was told that they were on schedule.

He appealed to the district to always give them equipment in time so that they can do the needful in time.

He noted that as council, they are going to use some emergencies and ensure that roads are done for people.
