BUSHENYI KIDNAPPED WOMAN, CHILD FOUND IN MITOOMA

Police in Bushenyi district yesterday rescued a woman and her 20 months old baby who had been kidnapped by unknown thugs.
It is alleged that on Sunday 13th Oct at around 11:00am, Winfred Natuhwera aged 28 a resident of Nyakatembe cell Kyibazi Parish Kyamuhunga Sub county Bushenyi district and her baby left home for medication at Ishaka Adventist hospital in Ishaka -Bushenyi Municipality and they did not come back.
However the husband of the victim Milton Turyahebwa a business man reported case of alleged kidnap at Mashonga Police Post on Monday 14th Oct.
Speaking to our news reporter, the Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime said that the kidnappers called Milton using his kidnapped wife’s phone demanding for a ransom worth Ugx2m on 14th at around 1:00pm.
He said Police yesterday found the woman and her baby in Mitooma district where she had hidden after running away from the criminals.
Police has confirmed the incident and said that they are trying to locate the whereabouts of the victims and kidnappers.
