BUSHENYI LOCAL LEADERS WORRIED OVER YOUTH SEXUALNETWORK

Bushenyi leaders have expressed their worry over an increase in sexual activities among the youth.
Last morning of Nov.3, 2017 in the meeting organized by the Reproductive Health Uganda Bushenyi branch at Bushenyi multipurpose hall in Bushenyi town sub county chairpersons and chiefs decried the habit of the youth engaging themselves in sexual network.
Lauben Kananga; the L.C.3 chairperson Kakanju sub county said that in his sub county youth engage in live sex after taking marijuana and alcohol thus putting their lives on risk of catching HIV/AIDs.
During the meeting the chairpersons resolved to allocate 1% of their financial budget to cater for youth friendly services in the next planning cycle of January 2018 in a bid to support youth dialogues in their community and educating them on their social welfare.
Assistant Chief Administration officer; Ms Pollain Nakayenga who represented the district CAO disclosed that parents have totally failed to improved on nutrition for their children and as a result a number of children are stunted .
Meanwhile the vice LCV chairman Bushenyi District; Peter Ndyahoza Mugume appealed to sub county chairpersons and all leaders at their respective levels to advise youth to abstain from sex and live longer.
Ndyahoza further urged the sub-county leaders to start involving youth in the committees managing health centres and other community activities to make them live exemplary.
