BUSHENYI MAN MURDERS WIFE OVER DRUNKENNESS

Police in Bushenyi have arrested a 35 year old man for allegedly murdering his wife in cold blood.

The suspect has been identified as Felix Ainembabazi a resident of Nyakahanga B cell,Kabingo Parish , Kyamuhunga S/county in Bushenyi District.

It is alleged that on the night of 8th Sept.2022, Ainembabazi murdered his wife Christine Atuhaire during a domestic scuffle.

According to SP Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson, Atuhaire returned home drunk on the night of 8th Sept. 2022 which led into a quarrel with the husband.

The two who have been well known habitual drunkards started fighting and the children in the opposite room could hear their mother calling for help.

The deceased’s children narrated that the following morning at around 0500hrs, she demanded for water to drink but the son could not get it.

Later in the morning the victim was found not breathing only for the son to discover that she was already dead.

SP Tumusiime noted that the Crime scene was visited by a team of detectives who discovered blood stained clothes of the suspect.

The deceased body had open injuries and it was taken to Comboni Hospital for postmortem.

The suspect was arrested and is currently detained as Inquiries are ongoing under Bushenyi CRB 838/2022
