BUSHENYI MAN, UPDF SOLDIER ARRESTED OVER MURDER OF IBANDA BABIES HOME EMPLOYEE

Police in Ibanda are holding three people including a UPDF Officer in connection to the death and disappearance of Ibanda Babies Home Employee.

ASP Samson Kasasira told journalists in a press statement that police in Ibanda at around 0630/c on 5th.Nov.2021 received a complaint of disappearance of Musiime Rodgers aged 35 years an employee at Ibanda Babies Home , a resident of Katoma I cell Kagongo ward Kagongo division , Ibanda municipality.

Kasasira said that police hatched a plan to recover the missing person using CCTV cameras and tracking of the suspects which led to the arrest of two suspects.

The two are; RA143341 CPL Kajoomu Mustafa alias Muwanga Joseph Jajja a Resident of Mukono and Micheal Ahimbisibwe a Resident of Bushenyi district both ex -convicts in murder and aggravated robbery who were arrested yesterday on 13.Nov.2021 while the third one Abaho Nathan still at large.

Kasasira says that the two suspects led the officers to Rwentojo Police station in Bwizibwera Town council along Mbarara-Ibanda road in a farm where they dumped the deceased’s body.

The three robbed the deceased of his motorcycle Registration number UFH510H Bajaj boxer which is suspected to be in Kampala Metropolitan areas.

The PRO said that the body of the deceased was retrieved and taken to Ruhoko Health Centre IV mortuary for a postmortem as efforts to recover the motorcycle take course.

Kasasira is now appealing to the general public to be vigilant and always report unusual incidents to the nearest Police stations.
